This episode of The Found Podcast is such a treat. In fact, when Lexi Marek Beeler and I sat down to record, we spent the first 30 minutes just catching up on life, laughing, and even saying hi to her dad who popped into the Zoom for a moment. By the time we actually hit “record,” it felt less like an interview and more like dropping into the middle of a conversation between two friends.

If you know Lexi, you know why. She’s one of those people who makes you feel instantly at ease, while also inspiring you with her drive, her ideas, and her way of carving out space for herself and others.
Lexi’s name may already be familiar. She’s a well-known voice in the ag community and a marketing pro who has shaped brands, events, and conversations both online and offline. But what I love most about Lexi is how she’s not just building a career: she’s building a life rooted in joy, alignment, and community.
Here are some of the highlights from our conversation:

Coming Home to the Farm
Lexi’s journey has taken her through a range of experiences—working in startups, government, and corporate spaces. But at the end of the day, her heart always led her back to agriculture. Now, living across from her family’s machine shed and surrounded by cows, she says it feels like she’s exactly where she’s meant to be.
That setting is more than just a backdrop—it’s a daily reminder to slow down, embrace imperfection, and focus on what matters most. “I’ll look at the cows outside my window every morning and think, ‘Okay. I’m looking at this and not a city skyline anymore,’” she shared. “I’m just trying to enjoy where I’m at.”

The Roots of Work Ethic
As the oldest of four girls, Lexi learned early that responsibility wasn’t optional. “It didn’t matter who scooped the poop,” she laughed. “The poop just needed scooped.” That mindset—doing what needs to be done, together—has carried through every part of her career and continues to shape the way she shows up in her business and her community.
Early Beginnings in Marketing
Lexi’s marketing journey started when she begged her parents for a smartphone. Unlike most teens at the time, she didn’t just use it for fun. Instead, she saw it as a tool to help market her family farm. With her mom busy running a business and her dad firmly anti-social media, the opportunity was hers to take—and she ran with it. That early experimentation turned into managing social media for other producers, and eventually into bigger opportunities like becoming one of FarmHer’s first interns.

Alignment and Rural Roots
One of the most powerful parts of our conversation was when Lexi described finally feeling aligned in her life. For years, she supported rural communities through her work, but she herself wasn’t living in one. Now, she’s back in rural Iowa, raising her family and building her consulting business from the ground up.
“I always felt a little bit like a fraud,” she admitted. “But now, I truly feel aligned for the first time in a really long time.”
Her belief in the importance of rural America shines through: “Rural America is the backbone of our country. If we continue to put our time and efforts into rural America, it will continue to thrive.”

Sisterhood and Community
Lexi is also passionate about creating spaces for women to connect. Through her “Hey Sister!” community, she reminds us that you don’t need to share DNA to create a sisterhood. Community, she says, is what allows her to continue evolving—in her personal life and in her business.

Imperfect Perfection
If you know anything about Enneagram Ones, it’s that perfectionism runs deep. Lexi laughed about this too, but she’s learning to let go of the need to have everything figured out. “We shoot for imperfect perfection,” she said. Life comes in waves, and her goal is to ride them with more flexibility and grace.
Advice for Other Women Chasing Their Dreams
Lexi left us with some grounded, practical advice:
- It’s okay to jump.
- It’s okay to jump with a number in mind that you can live on.
In other words—dream big, but also take care of yourself in the process.

Why This Conversation Matters
What I love most about Lexi’s story is that it isn’t just about career milestones—it’s about alignment, joy, and staying true to what matters most. Whether she’s building her consulting business, raising her family, or building communities of women in rural Iowa, Lexi is leading with heart.
This episode is for anyone who’s ever wondered if it’s possible to balance ambition with presence—or if you’ve been searching for a reminder that it’s okay to slow down and realign with what brings you joy.
I know you’ll love listening to this one as much as I loved recording it.
