A Kerfuffle: What Women Really Need in 2025

The transition from 2024 into 2025 hit differently this year. Instead of diving headfirst into big goals and resolutions, I eased into the new year.

I took time for sauna sessions. I worked out—slowly. I made better food choices, but not in a restrictive way. I let myself ease back into my work rhythm. I said no to things that didn’t align. And I made space for things that weren’t work-related.

And then, on a random Saturday while packing for a trip to Des Moines, a realization hit me: Women—especially moms, entrepreneurs, and business owners—don’t need more shoulds.

What We Don’t Need in 2025:

  • Not more courses selling us on a how-to blueprint or a “guaranteed 6-figure strategy”
  • Not more pressure to be doing all the things.
  • Not more fear-based messaging keeping us stuck.
  • Not more things to add to our never-ending to-do lists.

This year, the answer isn’t in the more. It’s in the less.

What We Do Need:

  • Creating instead of consuming—less scrolling, more making.
  • Space in our schedules—because burnout isn’t a badge of honor.
  • Our own values—not just the ones we were raised with, but the ones that actually align with our lives today.
  • A new definition of “good work”—one that isn’t just about hustle.
  • Community & third spaces—places to belong, outside of work and home.
  • Nerding out over things we love—even if they seem silly.
  • **Health that’s **realreal—rooted in more than just being a certain size or weight.
  • Connection to something greater—whether it’s spiritual or just a deeper sense of purpose.

The Truth We Need to Embrace

You were never meant to be everything you need to achieve all your goals and dreams alone. This year, let’s stop chasing individual success in a vacuum.

Let’s link arms with others. Find our squads. Make space to listen—to ourselves, to each other, to what really matters.

Here’s to a year of less pressure and more alignment. Are you in?
